CSA Cargo - export

Have you decided to deliver your consignment with Czech Airlines Cargo? If so, please, study the following instructions carefully in order to learn how your consignment should be prepared for transport and which documents are absolutely necessary.

If your consignment will be leaving the Czech Republic, be aware that it must be packed in accordance with the regulations applicable for that particular type of consignment only. You may also contact any of our contracting agencies with requests for air cargo transport. Furthermore, we would like to remind you that the consignment must be accompanied either with the Uniform Customs Declaration or with the Transit Declaration. If it is a case of samples, or presents of a non-commercial value, the consignment should be provided with a signed declaration stating that the goods are not of a commercial character and should be accompanied with a declaration of value. If you are sending a consignment with articles for personal use, a list of the items contained, written in Czech and English and provided with the consignor's address and signature must be included.

Czech Airlines Cargo offers its customers shipment reinsurance by air waybill. Our partner is Allianz insurance company and the premium is about 3 per mille of the shipment value. If you are interested in the reinsurance of your shipment, please contact Czech Airlines Cargo claims staff before the transport begins and the air waybill is issued.

Export consignment check-in procedure

We will arrange for the check-in of your export consignment through the Skyport. Shipments are accepted for transportation no later than 210 minutes before the regular departure time of any given flight (for flights operated by A310’s up to 240 minutes).

For Equation shipments, the time limit of 90 minutes remains effective, however, from 1 December 2006, such shipments have to be booked 180 minutes before the departure of the flight.

First, contact the Skyport - Tariffs department and if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask. We would also like to point out that before the consignment is accepted for air carriage, it is necessary to complete the "Instructions for Issuing an Air Waybill" form, stating in it the address of the consignor, the address (and telephone number, if applicable) of the consignee, the routing requested, data on the payer of the freight charges, the type of goods, and certain other particulars. It would be a pleasure for the Skyport - Tariffs personnel to assist you with completion of the form.

After this your consignment will be taken into storage room, where its weight, dimensions, and the integrity of the package will be checked. If all data stated in the instructions for issuing the air waybill correspond with reality, the form will be certified, and on this basis, the Skyport Tariffs department will issue you an air waybill. The air waybill will contain freight charges and other charges based on the dimensions and weight of the consignment.
Freight charges and other charges may be paid immediately at the cash desk located at the Skyport Customer Centre. Then, a certified copy of the air waybill should be returned to the Tariffs department. The consignment is then put in the export storeroom and is ready for delivery.

Forwarding companies of Czech Airlines Cargo are offered special terms and conditions for consignment handling and the paying of freight charges. Detailed information about these advantages may be obtained from Sales department.
