Czech Airlines is a partner to major international cultural projects. We support modern graphic art, classical music, and film festivals, including the festival that presents documentary films about human rights.
This year’s Prague Spring International Music Festival opened on 12 May with its traditional programme – Bedřich Smetana’s My Country. The concert was conducted by the Principal Conductor of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Zdeněk Mácal. The 62nd year of the International Music Festival closed on 3 June with Antonín Dvořák’s Symphony No. 7 in D Minor, conducted by Gennadii Rozdestvenski.
This year, Prague Spring did not focus on any pre-established principal theme, as was the case in previous years; instead, it strove to commemorate certain important anniversaries through pieces included on its programme.
As in previous years, Czech Airlines was honoured to serve as the Official Carrier of the 2007 Prague Spring International Music Festival. By supporting one of the famous Central-European classical music festivals, which dates back to 1946, Czech Airlines unites itself with the best our country has to offer.
